NICE TO MEET YOU!
I'm Sonali Chellappa ☻
I'm currently in my senior year at UC Irvine, where I'm studying Cognitive Science.
With a background in psychology, my work is rooted in understanding my users from a psychological standpoint, empathizing with their frustrations, and crafting solutions that exceed their expectations. My designs always begin and end with my users' needs.
I have four years of professional experience as a designer
and researcher. I'm also leading and mentoring communities of designers through two student organizations at my school, Commit the Change and Design at UCI. My education and experience have helped me develop strong skills in design thinking, communication, and impactful storytelling.
When I'm not designing solutions for users, you'll find me reading, skateboarding, doodling, and petting every dog I see!
Things I'm Proud Of

As a designer for Commit the Change, I helped design a digital resource platform for Crime Survivors, a Southern California-based nonprofit that works to defend and empower survivors of violent crimes. This website has provided thousands of survivors with life-saving information!
As the founding designer for Commit the Change, I also designed our official club website! This website provides information about our club and our work to hundreds of UCI students, as well as the nonprofits we work with each year.

I love to doodle and paint in my free time. Over the last few months, I've been making Artist Trading Cards, which are each only 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size!
